Years ago, when the Atkins Diet was all the rage, I tried it. I didn't exactly follow the meal plan, since by rule, I don't eat anything green (or follow instruction well.) I basically lived on Slim Jims, sunflower seeds, and bacon for two weeks. So even today, seeing the word Atkins makes me gag a little. But try not to let my horrifying experience deter you- I have many friends who actually read the book, followed the meal plans, and look and feel fabulous.
